Top Posts In November

Its been a few months since I last did this but thought it was about time I started again.
So here are my top posts from November.

Loo & Placido - Future Sound
Loo and Placido absolutely killed it with this mashup, if there's one thing the Gorillaz need its a little bit of dubstep!

Warren Paul - Jack Funk Mixtape Part 2
This mix shocked me as I'm not usually a fan of house but Warren Paul put together such a funky mix I couldn't not post it.

The Breakz R Boss - Family: Part 1
We all love a free album and Breakz R Boss are the kings of free albums with the amount they release. 13 tracks of heavy hitting breakbeat madness, you cant possibly say no.

Figure - Dominate
This track couldn't have been better named because when it comes to dubstep Figure really does dominate.

Krafty Kuts - Fresh Kuts Volume 4
When it comes to Krafty Kuts I'm very biased but then who isn't, when he puts together phat ass mixes like this one.

AfroWhitey - City Lights Promo Mix
I honestly cant turn down a new AfroWhitey mix as every one is full of thugstep gold and this one is no different.

Top Posts In June

Well I'm a little bit late doing this, this month but hopefully the selection ive picked will make up for that.

Rory Hoy - Big Beat Reunion
I'm a big fan of the music Rory Hoy puts together and not one second of this mix disappointed me, just big tune after big tune!

Mashup-Germany - Ante Up To The Other Side
I don't think there's many people that come close to matching Ben Stiller's skills at mashing an absurd amount of tracks together and keeping it phat and funky. I was pretty much speechless after hearing this one.

K+Lab - Hiphop With a Drop On Top
K+Lab absolutely kills it in this mix for Skanky Panky, this is the exact reason I love glitch-hop. If you missed this one when I posted it here's your chance for redemption.

Bombs Away - ITS A FKN PARTY!
I'm ashamed to say I'd never really heard of Bombs Away until I heard this mix but I'm god damn I'm glad I know about them now! They produce some of the sickest electro tracks around.

Opiuo - The Any Sound Mini Mix
Wow, just wow. This one was an instant hit with me featuring all that phat glitch and ghettofunk wobble. There's not a bad word that can be said about this mix at all.

Featurecast - It's Showtime!
Featurecast has been a favourite Dj of mine for a long time now and I look forward to each and every mix he produces. In just 30 minutes he features some sick ghettofunk, drum 'n' bass and funky breaks.

William Breakspear - Skanky Panky Promo Mix
If it wasn't for William Breakspear and Skanky Panky records I don't think I'd be listening to any glitch-hop right now and this mix features more glitchy bass than you can shake a stick at.

Top Posts In May

Even with only 41 posts posted this month I still had my work cut out for me picking my top posts of the month.
With 15 of the 41 short listed I picked only seven, here's what I finally came up with:

Krafty Kuts Presents Fresh Kuts Vol. 3
Krafty Kuts is one of my favourite DJ's and one of the biggest influences that got me into the breaks scene and with this mix there was no way in hell he wasn't going to be featured in this months post.

AfroWhitey - Ridin' Promo Mix
With the amount of times I have listened to this mix there was no way I couldn't feature it in this months post. One of the finest thugstep mixes I have heard to date.

Bobby C Sound TV - Put Em Up, Hold It Down
This track has it all, sick ghettofunk wobble glitchy bass lines and some fine ass hip hop vocals.

Madness - Baggy Trousers (Dave Remix's Clive Made Me Do It Mix)
Ghettofunk and 80's pop music are two types of music that no one but Dave Remix would think of putting together. But I think everyone who has heard this track will agree, this is probably one of the best ghettofunk mash-ups around.

Mochipet - Dessert Bass
I'm a huge fan of Mochipet's work and when he added a sick glitchy dubstep bass line with mandolins and phat hip hop vocals he made it almost impossible for me not to add this track to this months post.

Elite Force - We Are Distrikt
Elite Force creates amazing bass music and with this bass heavy funky disco track he created for Distrikt's Burning Man camp he proves no different! If you haven't already, go ahead and donate to the cause!

The Temptations - Ain't too proud to beg (Pinot Filter Vintage Re-Love)
I cant count the amount of times I have listened to this track since Mojo Filter released it on Soundcloud. This is some of the finest electro funk I Have heard.

Top Posts In April

This month has been pretty much dominated with mixes, so I've decided to make this months post mixes only. Even after excluding the few tracks I posted, this still definitely wasn't easy to pick.

DJ RadioKilla - Rubadubstep Vol.3
Hip-hop and dubstep go hand in hand for me and Radiokilla quite literally killed it in this mix.

Kidda - 6 Mix
Picking this was a no brainer, phat electro with a massive funky summer vibe through out the whole mix.

Drumsound & Bassline Smith - Spring Studio Mix
These guys are legends in the drum and bass world and they prove just why with this outstanding mix of some sick dubstep and drum and bass tracks.

Will Streetwise - Summer 2011 Etnies Mix
After listening to the other Etnies mixes in the series this one was on my wish list and it most certainly didn't disappoint, ghettofunk bangers and drum and bass what more can you want.

Slynk - Hour Of Funk
Even though Slynk still owes us all 24 seconds of funk this one had to go into the list. For me this mix had the perfect amount of funky beats and huge classic hip-hop tracks.

Funkanomics - In Bed With Funkanomics Mix
I've been a big fan of the Funkanomics for a while and it felt like a lifetime since their last mix but boy was it worth the wait. This one touches on pretty much all my favourite styles of bass music.

Top Posts From March

OK so compared to last month, this month's post is pretty long. But with over 70 posts to choose from and pretty much all of them being outstanding it made it a little harder to choose.
But after a lot of thought here's what I came up with:

Shy FX - Raver (DJ Wood Reboot)
Any one that turns an already huge jungle track into an absolute monster of a ghettofunk remix is good in my books, there was no way this wasn't going in this months post. Now lets just hope for the download!

Vico Ono
This is more of a top artist post as I couldn't choose between the two tracks posted as both mash-ups were outstanding. In a way you could say I cheated but once you hear the tracks you will understand why.

A.Skillz - Beats Working Vol.1
Like last month with Stereo:type I'm biased when it comes to A.Skillz. I'm yet to hear a track or mix from this guy I don't like and this showcase mix of his latest work is no different.

Cutloose - Boom Town Glitch Hop
Since starting the blog I have found a lot of great new DJ's and Cutloose is one of them. This is the best glitch-hop mix I've heard in 2011 so far and with how phat this is, its going to take a lot to beat.

8*B1T - 2011 SXSW/Spring Promo Mix
8*Bit shows what breaks are all about with this 50 minute promo for SXSW. This for me is pretty much a showcase of just how great the darker side of breaks is.

Adele - Rolling in the deep (Leg&Dary mash-up)
If it wasn't for DJ's like Leg & Dary making dirty mash-ups like this one I probably wouldn't be listening to any pop music right now and this sick little mash-up is the reason why I do.

Bassnectar Vs Shaun Boothe - Poor Boy (Stylust Beats Mashup)
This one still shocks me when I listen to it mashing old school rock, dubstep and hip-hop together is just insane and clearly very, very phat!

ACDC - Highway to Hell (FunkMoguls re-fix)
I posted a Funk Moguls mix last month in the top posts and they came through once again with this sick breaks remix of ACDC's - Highway to Hell.

Top Posts From February

I make around 50 plus posts each month and its quite easy to let some of the best mixes and tracks just pass you by. So at the beginning of each month I'll be posting what I think are the top posts of the past 4 weeks with a little reason why for each.
So lets get his under way:

Preacher Man (Matty Blades Rerub)
In my eyes this was an instant hit, adding that ghettofunk wobble to an already popular old school classic created a monster of a track.

Beardyman's Essential Mix
To date this has had over 9000 plays, Beardyman is one of the best beatboxers around and he really shows it in this essential mix he made for Radio 1.

Stereo:Type - Mixtape February 2011
Now I'm slightly biased when it comes to Stereo:Type as I'm a huge fan of what they do but to be honest what they do is pure genius.

Bezwun - G.F.S.T (Ghetto Funky Superstar Town)
Bezwen pretty much showcased exactly what ghettofunk is all about with this Funkytown mashup.

FunkMoguls - January 2011 Promo Mix
I hadn't heard of The FunkMoguls before this mix but they were instantly added to my list of favourites with that sick DMX remix and all the funky beats laced with scratching in this mix.
